Your first sauna session

Infrared heat feels different from a hot room: less like an oven, more like sun on your back. The air stays moderate while the warmth lands in the muscle. Expect to sweat a lot, and later than you think.

The practical details

  • Sessions last 60 minutes. Book online or call the desk, and arrive 10 minutes early so nothing about the first visit is rushed.

  • Wear something light and comfortable you don't mind sweating in.

  • Bring water and a towel. A change of clothes for afterwards is a good idea.

  • Hydrate before and after. The sweat is real; the water has to come from somewhere.

  • Ease in. If it is your first session, listen to your body and step out early if you need to. The heat will still be there next time.

Who should check first

Infrared heat is gentle, but if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or are managing a condition your doctor watches closely, check with them before booking. We ask the same of everyone in the hot room.
